Zen is something we do together. When we open our hearts to each other, we open them to the entire universe. Our conversations are the same ones the old masters had centuries before. It’s nice to remember that we’re not alone in this strange journey through life. You are welcome here.
Join us for some meditation, conversation, and a bit of camaraderie. No experience or special equipment is necessary – just bring yourself and a sense of curiosity. Here’s the details:
When: Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm – 7:30pm
We recommend you plan to arrive 10 – 15 minutes early to find us and get settled in. Join our Meetup group to receive updates about schedule changes and cancellations.
Where: First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Antonio (7150 IH-10 West, San Antonio, TX)
We meet in the Sophia Fahs Room of the Longfellow Building (Building D on the map below), which is on the North end of campus, directly across the courtyard from the administrative offices. There will be a sign on the door and a black sandwich board outside the room, both sporting our red rhino logo. The room is wheelchair accessible.
What to Bring: a $5 donation is suggested to help pay for the room rental. Donations of any amount are graciously accepted. Chairs are provided, but feel free to bring your own meditation gear if you like.
What to expect: Our group is friendly and informal. We are very respectful of each other and there tends to be plenty of heart and laughter.
6:30 – 6:45 – Introduction to the practice, Q&A
6:45 – 7:15 – Silent meditation
7:15 – 7:30 – Group discussion
